This semester went by extremely fast! This class was definitely a great experience and I'm glad I took it because it was my favorite class this semester. This class allowed us to learn in a fun way. We did everything from, visiting places throughout our community, chapter presentations, worked as writing coaches to Ms. Bradshaw's 4th grade class, developed our own Chautauqua Characters, tried the new Navajo Restraunt, found out about resources we could use when we have our own classrooms, took millions of pictures to remember it all, and so much more. Doing all of that definitely made this learning experience authentic. It was nice to have a change of pace and step away from the typical classroom lecture. With this class, we were all teachers to one another and shared information and guided each other.    

 Taking this class has helped me realize the importance and significance of keeping our lessons authentic and cultural. Exposing students to several cultures helps them understand one another more and they become engaged. Living here in the four corners area, we have several different ethnicities and it is important that we as teachers support our students and help them succeed no matter what. We have resources from
